The Mattos Designs EVO+ Pixels are 12mm LED lighting elements designed for efficient performance in custom display applications. Powered by a native 12-volt HS-3248RGB B RGB chip, these pixels require no additional support components. Each unit consumes 9mA, facilitating thinner wiring and allowing higher pixel counts before power injection. A dual data line 4-wire design ensures redundancy; if one pixel fails, the rest of the string continues operating.
Construction includes an epoxy-coated circuit board and wire assembly over-molded into a PVC shell. This creates IP67 water-resistant sealed units. The 12mm shell features a flat back and nubs for insertion into 10mm coroplast props, sitting flush with the prop surface. Units are marked with polarity identifiers for streamlined customization.
The system achieves significant weight reduction compared to traditional alternatives. A 1,000-pixel high-density configuration weighs 11.25 lbs less than similar setups using 12V bullet pixels. Standard wiring utilizes 20-gauge black conductors. Unmodified and uncut pixel strings carry a 3-year warranty including included 3-wire to 4-wire adapters for xConnect Pigtails.
