The Kulp K32 Max PB2i is a fully assembled and configured controller cape designed for the PocketBeagle 2, enabling immediate pixel show operation without soldering or technical setup. This industrial build drives WS281x LEDs through 32 local ports, with each capable of managing 800 pixels at 40FPS with power injection. Additional connectivity offers 8 RJ45 differential ports for 32 extra strings, alongside two RS485 outputs for DMX, PixelNet, Renard, and LOR.
Power settings accommodate 5V–24V across banks of four connectors, supplying up to 5A per string. The system features a Gigabit Ethernet port operating at roughly 300Mb/s over USB2, three powered USB-A ports for Wi-Fi adapters, and audio functionality via an onboard pcm5102 DAC and headphone jack. Operational status is monitored through a Real Time Clock, temperature sensor, and voltage sensors accessible via an OLED display with navigation buttons.
Hardware Interfaces:
- FM Transmitter Socket included
- 8 GPIO pins with I2C bus access
- 5V 4-Pin PWM Cooling Fan Connector
